After being dissatisfied with the taste of energy drinks on the market, the founders of Sport Energy Inc. set out to develop a product with award-winning taste. Other drinks on the market mimic the flavor of cough syrup and taste awful. Sport Energy is crammed with a ‘get-up-and-go’ flavor that people have been asking for since the beginning. It took a number of years to develop and market Sport Energy. The price and the taste are simply unbeatable.

why energy drinks?
Drinking fluids is absolutely essential. The ingredients in Sport Energy pack a punch:

Taurine
Taurine functions in electrically active tissues such as the brain and heart. Researchers have found that a developing brain has up to four times more taurine than an adult brain. It aids in the movement of potassium, sodium, calcium, and magnesium in and out of cells and helps generate nerve impulses. Taurine is also the most abundant amino acid in the retina and is important for proper eye functioning. Taurine is found in animal protein and not vegetable protein, so strict vegetarians may have difficulty obtaining it from food sources.

Ginseng Ginseng is used extensively in Asian cultures. Probably the most common use for ginseng is to increase energy. Other benefits include stimulating the immune system and balancing hormones. It seems to contribute to general well-being and improved physical endurance. It has been used as a caffeine substitute. Research has shown that athletes taking ginseng increased oxygen absorption, recovered faster, and had enhanced reaction time.

Niacin
Niacin is important for energy and metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. It is required for brain and nervous system function. It assists with healthy digestion and skin. Niacin has been found to regulate blood sugar levels, reduce cholesterol, and help eliminate toxins. It stimulates circulation and is important for healthy brain function.

Pantothenic (Viamin B5)
Pantothenic acid plays a vital role in metabolism and energy production. It is needed for the production of healthy red blood cells. It is known as the “anti-stress vitamin” because it assists the adrenal glands in creating hormones that counteract stress and enhance metabolism.

Ribflavin (VItamin B2)
Riboflavin is needed for normal growth, and it creates energy through the utilization of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Riboflavin is also important in helping each cell utilize oxygen more efficiently.

Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12)
Vitamin B12 is best known as the “energy” vitamin. It is the most depleted vitamin in a strict vegetarian diet. It is vital to energy production, immune function, and maintaining healthy nerves.

Caffeine
Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant occurring naturally in over 60 plants. It increases mental activity and relieves fatigue. Caffeine is found in many common foods and beverages such as coffee, tea and chocolate. Ounce per ounce, Sport Energy contains less caffeine than a cup of coffee.

Guarana
Guarana is a rich, natural stimulant from a nut-like seed found primarily in Brazil. It has been used in foods and beverages mostly in South American cultures. Guarana supplies the body with long, slow, endurance energy.

Sucrose
Sucrose is also known as table sugar or white sugar. It is used in Sport Energy instead of high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), commonly found in other energy drinks. Some research has linked consumption of high fructose corn syrup to increased obesity and insulin resistance. Researchers have found new evidence that soft drinks sweetened with HFCS may contribute to the development of diabetes, particularly in children. In a laboratory study of commonly consumed carbonated beverages, the scientists found that drinks containing the syrup had high levels of reactive compounds that have been shown by others to have the potential to trigger cell and tissue damage that could cause the disease, which is at epidemic levels.

Dextrose
Dextrose is also known as glucose, the chief energy source in the body. It is used in Sport Energy instead of high fructose corn syrup which is commonly found in other energy drinks.

Glucoronolactone
Glucoronolactone is a natural carbohydrate involved in metabolic processes. May fight fatigue and provide a sense of well-being.
